Remains of an 18th century ship were uncovered at an Alexandria, Va., construction site.

An Alexandria, Va., construction crew working on a hotel construction site unearthed what is believed to be an 18th century trading vessel or warship.

Archeologists say the 50-foot ship may have been dismantled and used to extend the Alexandria's waterfront.

In addition to the wooden ship, the crew has also unearthed many other items at the site including ceramics, glass, bones and shoes.
