The Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee voted unanimously to support spending $750 million in public funds to support construction of a $2 billion NFL stadium for the Raiders in Las Vegas. The bill now heads to Governor Brian Sandoval's desk.
A special session is still needed to approve the framework that will allow the NFL stadium to be built with public funding which would come from a new room tax. It's up to the governor to call the special session.
