National Pavement Expo’s conference program has a reputation for its high-quality and diverse approach to leadership issues, and for the 2017 event NPE brings in a heavy hitter with a blue-ribbon track record.
With the support of the North American Power Sweeping Association (NAPSA) and co-sponsored by TYMCO, NPE will host author Dan Quiggle, The Quiggle Group, who worked closely with President Ronald Reagan after the President left Washington, D.C. for California in 1989. Quiggle participated in countless events, helped with advance work, staff logistics and observed firsthand Ronald Reagan's “leadership style, his communication savvy and his skill in endearing himself to a variety of people, regardless of their political persuasion.”
Quiggle relied on that once-in-a-lifetime experience for his best-selling book, Lead Like Reagan: Strategies to Motivate, Communicate and Inspire, which uses examples of Reagan and other prominent and influential business leaders “to demonstrate what leadership at the highest levels looks like, why it is effective, and how it can be successfully emulated.”
Quiggle’s book applies Reagan’s leadership lessons to life and business in meaningful, memorable ways, and his three-hour NPE workshop will use anecdotes and examples to provide “how to” leadership tips for business owners.
He has said that “sitting at the feet of greatness and having a front row seat to personally observe what Ronald Reagan did and said, made an indelible mark” on his own leadership style, shaping his thoughts about the key traits of great leaders. “Lead Like Reagan reveals a unique leadership template, applicable throughout industries and professions.”
