The Schwarze M5 Torrent SE is a non-CDL mechanical sweeper built on the trusted M6SE DOT platform, designed for municipalities and contractors who need highway-grade sweeping performance without requiring a commercial driver's license.
The sweeper delivers a 134-inch sweeping width, backed by a 36-inch main broom available in poly or steel combo configurations and 49-inch gutter brooms with hydraulic tilt and variable speed control. Operators choose between a squeegee or belt conveyor system, both with self-cleaning features. A 5.0 cubic yard stainless steel hopper handles extended sweeping runs, and a high-dump scissor-lift system adjusts from 16 to 138 inches with a tilt function for flexible unloading.
Dust and debris control runs through a 250-gallon polyethylene water tank with independent spray nozzle control across the bumper, gutter brooms, and main broom, plus a built-in flushing system with high-volume fan jet nozzles. Schwarze built the unit around a single-engine design for fuel efficiency, ergonomic in-cab controls, and independent hydraulic suspension.
