The 2014 National Pavement Expo, scheduled for Jan. 8-11 in Fort Lauderdale, FL, will be using four convention hotels and registration is now open through the website www.nationalpavementexpo.com.
The four hotels are Embassy Suites Fort Lauderdale (17th Street), Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale, Hyatt Regency Pier 66, and Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port Hotel.
The 2014 NPE will be held in Florida for the first time since 1993, and in addition to more the 50 conference sessions and three days of exhibits the industry’s only trade show show will host more than 10 equipment demonstrations outdoors.
“Our exhibitors really encouraged the Florida site and we decided that as long as we are heading south we’d like to offer equipment demonstrations too,” said Amy Schwandt, show manager and publisher of Pavement Maintenance & Reconstruction. “We received full-fledged support for the demonstrations and all the demonstration time slots sold out immediately.”
Outdoor demonstrations will be held Thursday, Jan. 9 and Friday, Jan. 10 in a parking lot immediately adjacent to the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, 1950 Eisenhower Blvd. in the port area of Fort Lauderdale. Parking is available in a garage at the convention center.
Schwandt said the 2014 NPE conference program will be announced and registration will be open soon on the website. But attendees and exhibitors can reserve hotel rooms by visiting www.nationalpavementexpo.com and clicking on Hotel/Travel.
