P5 Pothole Patcher

Municipalities can now attack the pothole epidemic with one man behind the wheel of the new P-5 Pothole Patcher.

• In-cab operation is the safest most efficient way to repair potholes using the proven DuraPatcher spray-injection method
• Four easy steps remove the pothole by: 1. Cleaning with high-pressure air 2. Applying a tack coat 3. Filling the patch with sufficient velocity to compact the emulsion-coated aggregate 4. Applying a final coat. The result is a permanently repaired pothole that can be driven over immediately.
• The P-5 capitalizes on the effectiveness of the spray-injection method by applying state-of-the-art controls for in-cab operation
• Single joystick has color-coded buttons corresponding to the four steps to pothole patching
• Display informs driver of their sequence in the patching operation
• The user friendly joystick controls the three-section boom that incorporates a nozzle at the tip that is clearly visible from the cab
• The boom folds against the front bumper for travel
• Pre-set amounts of aggregate and emulsion can be programmed to speed patching and minimize waste
• Carries five yards of aggregate in a covered hopper that is mixed with emulsion from a pressurized 300-gallon tank and injected into the pothole using compressed air
• The emulsion tank has an overnight heater so patching can begin immediately in the morning
• For colder climates an optional aggregate heater can be ordered
• Dedicated 74-hp diesel is carried on the chassis to operate the Patcher’s air compressor leaving the truck engine to propel the vehicle
• CAN-Bus technology is utilized throughout the system to eliminate excessive wiring for reliability and easy diagnosis
• For visibility, the machine comes standard in safety green with rear directional arrows and strobe lights
