2019 Ford F-150 Diesel Now Less Expensive With More Availability

Here's how Ford made the 3.0L turbo-diesel engine available on 75% of the F-150's mix of models, and how its pricing compares to the pickup truck's other engines

Ford responded to customer demand for greater access to its F-150 with a diesel engine by beginning to offer it in the more affordable, high-volume XLT trim level. Previously, Ford's 3.0-liter turbo-diesel F-150 engine was only available on the premium Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum trim levels.

The price of entry for the least expensive F-150 diesel is now $46,255 (including destination) with the arrival of the 2019 F-150 XLT SuperCab 4x2.
