SAF-HOLLAND has introduced the UltraLite40 slider for its ULX40 mechanical sliding suspension and axle system, targeting improved durability and reduced weight for on-highway trailers.
The UltraLite40 slider is designed to help fleets increase payload capacity while extending trailer life. According to the company, the component is up to 30 pounds lighter and more durable than the previous model, based on updated testing and real-world performance data.
Additional features include a Qwik Release pin pull system requiring less effort, with an optional air-operated release. The slider can also be configured with air disc brakes, drum wheel end packages and tire inflation systems. Design updates include a reinforced C-rail sub-frame, hardened steel wear pads and a galvanized finish for added durability.
The UltraLite40 slider is expected to launch in late 2026.
