Cat Footwear has introduced its Excavator work boot collection featuring the company’s new Power Spring Technology, a proprietary midsole system designed to improve comfort and reduce fatigue for workers who spend long hours on their feet.
According to a survey commissioned by the company of 2,000 adults, 57% of respondents said one of the hardest parts of their job is the amount of time spent standing. Among workers in engineering, manufacturing and construction, that figure rose to 67%.
The survey also found that 51% of workers in those industries said foot pain or fatigue caused them to miss time with family or friends, while 46% reported it affected their ability to rest properly.
The Excavator collection includes 6-inch, 8-inch, Chelsea and Wellington styles in men’s and women’s options, with both soft-toe and safety-toe models available.
According to the company, the Power Spring Technology uses a dual-density midsole with a firm outer layer for stability and a softer inner core designed to absorb impact and provide energy return. The boots also feature a flexible twin-track outsole intended to improve traction on uneven surfaces.
