Ergodyne has introduced photochromic lens options for its AEGIR and SIXTEN safety glasses, designed to adjust tint as workers move between indoor and outdoor environments.

The lenses transition from clear to dark in as little as 10 seconds and reach full tint in about one minute. When workers return indoors, the lenses begin clearing immediately and return toward clear in roughly three minutes.

The light-adaptive design is intended to reduce the need for workers to switch between clear and tinted safety glasses as lighting conditions change throughout the workday.

Eye protection remains important across construction jobsites, where workers can encounter changing conditions from direct sunlight to shaded and indoor areas.
