Milwaukee Tool has introduced a new addition to its personal protective equipment lineup with the release of its BOLT™ Full Brim Safety Helmets. Available in both Class C (vented) and Class E (non-vented) models, these Type 2 helmets are designed to provide comprehensive jobsite protection, meeting standards for both top and side impacts.
The new helmets are engineered for users who need more protection than standard Type 1 hard hats but prefer a full brim design. With a lightweight construction, the helmets are built to stay up to 15°F cooler than other Type 2 full brim models, improving comfort for all-day use.
Certified to ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 Type 2 standards and third-party tested, the helmets offer additional compliance with EN12492 clauses related to impact absorption and retention system strength. Designed for various jobsite environments, they also help shield workers from environmental elements.
Each helmet includes a padded suspension system with a swinging ratchet adjustment and a five-point chin strap to ensure a secure fit. The design also features integrated foam padding with ventilation ports to support airflow, while a washable sweatband and antimicrobial liner contribute to cleanliness and long-term wearability.
As part of the BOLT™ accessory system, the helmets feature six attachment points—four BOLT™ slots and two universal slots—supporting the addition of headlamps, visors, face shields, and other gear. A headlamp mount and marker clip are included with each helmet, and users can also customize the helmets with company branding or alternate colors.
Milwaukee also released a flame-resistant chin strap, compatible with all of its Type 2 helmets. This strap, designed with high-risk trades in mind, provides five-point adjustability and added protection for electrical and welding work.
The new BOLT™ Full Brim Safety Helmets are now part of Milwaukee’s expanding range of PPE designed for professional tradespeople across industries.
