Brandon Noel has been named new Editor of Asphalt Contractor and Pavement Maintenance & Reconstruction brands, tasked with producing high-quality content and spearheading editorial efforts for all facets of the brands, including print, digital, social, webinar, podcasts and more. Noel will also take over the execution of both publications’ awards, contribute to the Construction Network's Digging Deeper podcast channel and help manage the ForConstructionPros.com website.
For the last decade-and-a-half, Noel has worn many different hats. He studied English and creative writing at Kent State University, worked at a steel factory, published two books and broke into advertising and content development for local Ohio businesses before taking on a role as Public Relations Manager at La Barba Cigars Co.
In 2020, he became involved with a small non-profit called “The Makeshift inc.” dedicated to the arts in Northeast Ohio, and in 2021, was named Editor of their print and digital literary journal “Olney Magazine.”
“I am excited for this new challenge and this new chapter in my life,” Noel says.
Noel takes over for long-time editor Jessica Lombardo, who was named Content Director, Marketing Services of AC Business Media's Content Marketing Services team. Lombardo has been with ACBM for 8 years, and has continually shown her talent in creating memorable content and leading digital experiences.
In her new role, Lombardo will be applying those same skills to developing marketing services clients’ brand voice and message for cross-platform success.
Lombardo will also assist in the onboarding and continual training of Noel, and will still be heavily involved behind the scenes.
