Pavewise, a construction technology company focused on road project compliance and efficiency, has raised $2.5 million in seed funding led by C2 Ventures. The investment will fuel expansion of the company's software platform that integrates production tracking, compliance automation and weather data for paving contractors.
The funding round included participation from Connectic, Service Provider Capital and industry veterans Geoff Judge and Tom Stemm, former CEO of Trimble-acquired Ryvit. Existing investors M25, gener8tor 1889 and Broadwater Capital also contributed to the round.
Founded by construction industry veterans, Pavewise addresses critical pain points in road construction projects where weather delays, compliance gaps and coordination issues cost contractors millions annually. The platform provides real-time visibility into job site conditions, helping crews minimize downtime and reduce rework.
"Construction teams lose millions every year due to weather delays, compliance gaps, and inefficiencies," said Bryce Wuori, co-founder and CEO of Pavewise. "We've lived those challenges firsthand. Pavewise equips contractors with real-time insights for quicker, improved decisions and better results."
The software combines several key functions that traditionally require multiple systems or manual tracking. Production data flows directly from the field to project managers, while automated compliance features help contractors meet regulatory requirements without additional paperwork. Site-specific weather monitoring allows crews to anticipate and plan around conditions that could impact paving quality or scheduling.
The company plans to use the capital primarily for sales and marketing expansion, focusing on customer acquisition across the road construction sector. Based in North Dakota, Pavewise already serves contractors on projects across the United States.
For contractors facing increasing regulatory scrutiny and tighter project margins, integrated platforms like Pavewise represent a shift toward data-driven project management. By consolidating compliance tracking, weather monitoring and production analytics into a single system, the technology aims to reduce administrative burden while improving project outcomes.
