The new Cat PM820, PM822, and PM825 Cold Planers are designed to be highly productive, highly maneuverable, half-lane milling machines capable of controlled full-depth removal of asphalt and concrete pavements in a single pass.

- Powered by a fuel-efficient Cat C18 turbocharged, 6-cylinder diesel engine that meets Tier 4 Final engine requirements
- Hydrostatic drive with two variable-displacement propel pumps supplying a variable-displacement motor at each track
- Automatic traction control system minimizes track slip in extreme conditions
- Standard four-mode steering with electronic control module and a single propel/steer joystick
- Four-post design with each leg post featuring an auto-leveling function
- Hydraulically controlled front loading conveyor
- Rotor equipped with durable, three-piece, quick-release tool holders and carbide-tipped cutting bits in a chevron pattern
- Standard water spray system with 898-gal. water tank
- Operator’s station features dual operating controls and an ergonomic instrumentation layout with touchscreen display
- Optional rotor systems and Cat Diamond Bits available for specific applications
- Updated handrails increase operator comfort and ease-of-use in flush cutting applications
- Pivoting handrails stow and redeploy easily on the right-hand side when an obstacle comes close to the machine
- Obstacle jump is easier to execute from the operator platform with new visual indicators located on the top edge of the side plates indicating where the rotor is positioned and correlate with the markings on the side plate
