The Associated Builders and Contractors have released its Construction Backlog Indicator (CBI) for the first quarter of 2010 - and it's showing a 4.5 percent increase. Construction backlog orders are out to 6.07 months, up from 5.81 months in the fourth quarter of 2009. This is more good news for the commercial construction market as headlines have been showing positive movement in the market, including that the construction industry has recently been adding jobs. I've also received feedback via the @contractorcash twitter account that commercial contractors are starting to see additional business. Leave a comment on this post and let me know if you are starting to see a turnaround.
