Streamlight has introduced the SL-SideSaddle, a new series of compact, mountable lighting tools designed for hands-free use in industrial and construction environments. Built to attach securely to hard hats, safety helmets, bump caps, or even standard ball caps, the SL-SideSaddle offers a reliable lighting solution without interfering with other PPE like visors or hearing protection.
The lighting system is available in two versions: a USB-C rechargeable model and an alkaline-powered option. Both are engineered for rugged performance in demanding work conditions and are rated IPX7 waterproof.
Users can choose from spot, flood or a combination beam to suit different lighting needs. A rear-facing blue taillight improves visibility in low-light conditions. The push-button tail switch features mode memory, automatically recalling the last used beam setting upon reactivation.
The SL-SideSaddle USB model delivers up to 400 lumens on high with a 5-hour run time, and 12 hours on low spot at 100 lumens. It runs on a 2000 mAh lithium polymer battery that recharges in four hours via USB-C. The alkaline version uses three AAA batteries, offering up to 300 lumens on high and 16 hours of runtime on low flood at 60 lumens.
Constructed from durable polycarbonate thermoplastic, both models are drop-tested to withstand a 2-meter fall and include mounting hardware for helmet or hat attachment. The SL-SideSaddle is available in black or high-visibility yellow.
Weighing just over 3 ounces, the SL-SideSaddle is designed for minimal profile and easy detachment for handheld use. It provides a practical solution for workers in construction, utilities, emergency services and other environments where adaptable, reliable lighting is essential.
