Houzz has added a new contracts feature to Houzz Pro, giving construction, remodeling and design professionals a way to create and finalize agreements directly within the platform. The tool is designed to simplify a process that is often managed through a patchwork of third-party software, email chains and paper documents.
The integrated system allows users to build, send and sign contracts for clients and subcontractors without leaving Houzz Pro. According to the company, contracts sent through the platform are typically signed in just over two days, compared with the roughly weeklong turnaround many users report when using other methods.
Key features include Smart Text for auto-filling project and client information, built-in eSignatures, contract templates, customizable branding, cloud storage for signed documents and activity history, and real-time notifications when contracts are opened or completed. Commenting and edit tracking are also included to help teams follow changes throughout the review process.
The Contracts tool is now available to U.S. subscribers on the platform’s Custom plan and works alongside existing Houzz Pro features such as estimating, invoicing, takeoffs, selections, 3D floor plans and online payments.
