(May 12, 2011) In a move to further strengthen its expertise in metropolitan high-rise scaffolding and access solutions, Safway Services announced the acquisition of Atlantic Hoisting & Scaffolding, which the company says is the largest provider of scaffolding and hoisting solutions in the New York City area.

Atlantic has been serving the commercial construction industry in New York City for more than 50 years and is known for designing and providing access services for the most complex high-rise projects. The company is located in Carlstadt, N.J., and provides services to customers through all phases of construction, with in-house engineers and designers working alongside on-site fabricators and carpenters.
Atlantic's experience covers an array of projects throughout the New York City area, including work on September 11 Memorial Museum, Freedom Tower, The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center Renovation, The United Nations Building and The JP Morgan Chase Headquarters.
