TrafFix Devices has released the Urbanite Pedestrian Wall, a lightweight safety barrier designed for pedestrian zones, events, and construction sites. The wall is built to improve crowd control while simplifying transport and setup.
Weighing just 23 pounds, the Urbanite can be lifted and repositioned without machinery. It features a double-walled, high-density polyethylene design that resists UV damage and supports long-term outdoor use. Each six-foot section connects securely with molded fittings, while ten vertical windows reduce wind load and improve visibility.
The wall’s design includes an ergonomic handrail, foldable steel T-legs and molded stacking features for efficient storage and transport. Openings at the base allow water drainage to maintain stability in wet conditions.
Recessed panels on each side can display reflective sheeting, signage, or sponsor graphics, and the unit includes space for barricade lights to improve nighttime visibility. The Urbanite does not require sand or water ballast and is available in orange and white, with custom colors offered for specific needs.
TrafFix Devices also offers the ADA Wall, which provides accessible, ADA-compliant pedestrian pathways with continuous handrails and low-profile T-legs to reduce tripping hazards. The ADA Wall has passed MASH TL-3 testing and includes reflective panels and visibility windows for safety and accessibility.
Both products are designed to enhance pedestrian safety and efficiency in urban, event and construction environments.
