Largest Road Contract in GA History Nears Bidding

$1 billion public-private project will add reversible toll lanes along 29 miles of I-75 and I-575

After years of false starts, the Georgia Department of Transportation says it will soon open bidding on the largest transportation contract in state history — a $1 billion project to add 29 miles of reversible lanes along I-75 and I-575 in Cobb and Cherokee counties.

It is the state’s maiden attempt to build public roads with private investment.
