Huntley OKs I-90 Interchange Pact

Chicagoland project expected to go out for bid early 2012

The Huntley, Ill., village board has approved a proposed intergovernmental agreement for construction of a full interchange at Interstate 90 and Route 47.

The agreement joins Huntley with the Illinois Toll Highway Authority, the Illinois Department of Transportation and McHenry and Kane counties on the project. It outlines the funding each governmental body must provide for the estimated $69 million, all-electronic interchange.

The project is expected to go out for bid early next year, with an April or May start date.
