The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has "reprogramed" $43.3 million from three other projects in order to keep construction on its Aurora hospital project running through at least May. The VA is assuring congressional leaders that the project is not in danger of another construction shutdown. After recently shifting $56 million to the project, the VA is now committing $899 million toward the project. However, Rep. Mike Coffman is saying the project will reach its $880 million spending cap authorized by Congress in April, which would stop construction without more action from lawmakers.
