West Virginia Governor Signs Prevailing Wage Change Bill Affecting Public Construction Projects

Prevailing wage calculation will now be calculated by Workforce West Virginia and West Virginia University and Marshall University economists

West Virginia's Governor Early Ray Tomblin has signed a bill that scales back the state's prevailing wage for public construction projects. Projects less than $500,000 wouldn't be subject to the wage, and there won't be a prevailing wage if it's not calculated by July or September 30, if the deadline is extended.
