Ohio Contractor Granted Permission to Use Drones

Danis Building Construction Co. is now the second contractor and fifth construction company granted permission to use drones for business

Dayton Business Journal

Dayton, Ohio-based construction firm Danis Building Construction Co. received FAA permission to fly a DJI Phantom 2 Vision + for its business. Danis is now the second contractor and fifth construction company in the country granted permission to use drones for its business.

The Phantom is usually a hobbyists drone, but Danis has added a built-in three-gimbal camera to take photos and uses a handheld RC device and smartphone to control the drone.

Danis has already put the drone to work surveying the new Dayton Children's Hospital project the contractor is working on.
