Louisiana state officials have approved $80 million in state construction plans which will use all available spending capacity for the budget year. Dozens of projects received cash lines of credit from the State Bond Commission to finance them for the budget year that ends June 30.
To make the numbers balance, $74 million was taken away from projects that had been provided the cash and will instead be used on a new list of projects including roadwork, courthouse renovations, sewer upgrades and park improvements.
