Bechtel Chosen as Contractor for Controversial NY Power Plant

Power plant project expected to cost $1 billion and create 800 construction jobs

Cricket Valley Energy LLC has named Bechtel the builder of a new 1,000-megawatt gas-fired generating plant in New York state. The plan to create the power plant has been in the work for more than six years. The project is expected to cost around $1 billion and create 800 construction jobs.
