The Blissville Rail Terminal in Queens, New York, opened on April 29, 2025 - allowing approximately 50,000 tons of harvest fly ash annually from Eco Material Technologies to support local infrastructure projects.
The terminal will utilize rail transportation, including New York & Atlantic’s (NYA) local infrastructure, to efficiently deliver fly ash and sustainable cementitious materials to one of the nation's largest construction markets. These materials can replace up to 25 percent of carbon-intensive portland cement in standard concrete mixes, with Eco Material's technologies allowing for up to 100 percent replacement in select applications.

The Blissville Terminal, which will be operated by Precision Terminal Logistics, LLC (PTL) in partnership with Eco Material, is part of Eco Material's expanding network of facilities designed to supply over 10 million tons of environmentally beneficial materials annually, contributing to the decarbonization of the North American concrete market. The terminal incorporates Eco Material's suite of technologies, ensuring that all materials meet the highest quality standards while minimizing environmental impact and processing costs. Much of the material will be sourced from Eco Materials' landfill harvesting projects including its Danville, Pennsylvania facility.

"Partnering with Eco Material on this project allows us to leverage our extensive rail infrastructure to deliver materials to market efficiently," said Marlon Taylor, President, New York & Atlantic Railway. "This approach reduces truck traffic, emissions, and wear and tear on our roadways while streamlining supply chains and supporting sustainable building practices in a key metropolitan area."
The facility is expected to quickly reach full capacity, driven by strong regional demand for fly ash and sustainable cement alternatives.
