The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association has filled two major roles within the association. Madeline Wright joins the NRMCA as director of government affairs. Taylor Walsh was named director of learning and development.
Walsh brings more than 10 years of experience with Marriott International and Starwood Hotels and Resorts, including in the areas of instructional design, learning technology, program strategy, content governance, change enablement, and enterprise learning and development.
“Taylor Walsh brings exactly the experience and approach we need to strengthen NRMCA’s learning and development programs. Her background in instructional design, learning technology and enterprise program strategy will help us deliver more practical, modern and scalable learning experiences that support our members and the evolving workforce needs of the ready mixed concrete industry,” said NRMCA President and CEO Jim Riley.

Walsh joins NRMCA as the Association continues to strengthen how it designs, delivers and supports its learning programs, with an increased focus on learner experience, consistency, technology and scalable processes. In her new role, she will work with NRMCA members, industry experts, faculty and staff to better understand workforce needs and develop learning solutions around the real challenges people face on the job. Her work will include developing new learning experiences; build on existing programs such as Developing Industry Leaders; expand leadership and interpersonal development opportunities and help strengthen the technology, tools and systems that support NRMCA’s learning portfolio.
She holds a Master of Science in curriculum development and instructional technology and a graduate certificate in online learning and teaching from the University at Albany (NY). She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the State University of New York at Geneseo.

As Director of Government Affairs, Wright will be responsible for leading a significant share of NRMCA's advocacy on Capitol Hill. Reporting to Chief Advocacy Officer Andrew Tyrrell, this role will develop and execute legislative and political strategy, build and sustain relationships with Members of Congress and key staff, and help connect NRMCA members directly to the association's advocacy work. Ms. Wright will focus on NRMCA's core legislative priorities, including transportation and infrastructure, energy and environment, labor and workforce, and tax and trade.
“We are pleased to welcome Madeline Wright to NRMCA. Her background as a policy analyst for Senator Rick Scott and as a lobbyist for the Florida Farm Bureau, combined with her knowledge of transportation policy, positions her to make an immediate impact as we execute our Strategic Plan and strengthen our federal advocacy efforts on behalf of the ready mixed concrete industry,” said Riley. “Working in concert with Andrew, she will help craft strategy and tactics to advance NRMCA’s legislative priorities.”
