Mapeshield I Anode

Mapeshield I is a pure zinc anode developed for cathodic protection of reinforcing steel against corrosion in new, reinforced structures as well as structures requiring repair.

• Composed with a zinc core while its surface area is covered with a special conductive paste
• Once connected to steel reinforcement rods, the anode protects the metal and prevents corrosion
• System is active 10 to 20 years
• Effective even in aggressive environments, such as chloride-contaminated and carbonated concrete
