Mapeshield I is a pure zinc anode developed for cathodic protection of reinforcing steel against corrosion in new, reinforced structures as well as structures requiring repair.
- Composed with a zinc core while its surface area is covered with a special conductive paste
- Once connected to steel reinforcement rods, the anode protects the metal and prevents corrosion
- System is active 10 to 20 years
- Effective even in aggressive environments, such as chloride-contaminated and carbonated concrete
