Snappers Fastening Solutions were created to provide concrete contractors with a flexible, easier to apply, labor-saving method of fastening rebar. Three different application tools provide contractors the flexibility to choose which manner of fastening rebar best fits their specific needs. Snappers fasteners are made of a polycarbonate material precisely formulated and engineered to slip easily around and securely fasten steel, FRP, and basalt rebar.
- Polycarbonate is strong, non-conductive and non-corrosive
- Precisely engineered clip design grips rebar securely, minimizing shifting and racking
- Snappers grab intersecting bars along two axes, while wire holds only along a single axis
Snappers were designed to work with steel, fiberglass (FRP), and basalt rebar.Encore Hartco

Low-profile, Snappers reduce on-the-job injuries. Fasteners can be fed into a curved track or wrapped onto a spool that can hold up to 4,000 Snappers each. Flexible strips of Snappers slide easily into the Air Snapper and Pro Snapper tools' large capacity magazines, cutting the time and number of reloads needed to get the job done. Saving labor, the Multi Snapper multi-head machine, applies clips from an array of spools.
- Strong, secure join makes onsite or prefab rebar mesh easy to handle and position
- Rigid connection minimizes racking
- Save time and money on the cost of labor - no more bending and kneeling. Just place the jaws of the Pro Snapper or Air Snapper tool under two intersecting rebars, then snap or trigger-fire the tool
- For even faster and more efficient rebar mesh production, the Multi Snapper machine joins multiple crossbars simultaneously
- Polycarbonate is non-conductive, will not rust, and is considered almost unbreakable
Key Innovation: The Anvil
Snappers can be installed three ways, allowing contractors to use the best solution suited for different situations, each able to securely and economically apply a fastener where two rebars intersect. The anvil of the clipping tool is specifically designed to absorb the force of the snapping action by the Air Snapper and Multi Snapper (pneumatic) and the Pro Snapper (mechanical).
- Reduces the amount of pressure required to apply clips
- Stabilizes the rebar intersection during installation, reducing the flexion stress on the entire mesh
- Reduces waste from clip breakage (from too much force applied)
- One-handed operation reduces fatigue and stress on workers
The Air SnapperEncore Hartco
- Pre-fabricate rebar mesh or build it on-site
- Operates on compressed air supply – no batteries required
- Exclusive 4-sided magazine holds 2 flexible strips (31 in.) of Snappers
- Lightweight and versatile
Made of hardend alloy steel and plastic composite, the PRO Snapper heavy-duty manual tool is 5.5 lbs. and allows workers to remain upright and secure rebar efficiently without bending or kneeling.Encore Hartco
- Operates upright – no more bending or kneeling
- Exclusive 4-sided magazine holds 2 flexible strips (31 in.) of Snappers
- Lightweight, easily portable and field serviceable
The Multi SnapperEncore Hartco
- Completely customizable – grid spacing, number of tool heads/intersections
- Frame-mounted trigger(s) apply multiple Snappers simultaneously from high load coils (each holding up to 4,000 fasteners)
- Multi-function hand lever advances rebar to next position and accurately locates cross rebar
- Optional feature provides cost-saving patterns
- Cost efficient and labor saving – builds 8 ft. by 20 ft. mesh in less than 3 minutes
