Opened in March 2014 after two years of construction, Las Vegas’s High Roller is a 550-foot-tall observation wheel that allows you to take a ride with groups of up to 40 people for views high above the Las Vegas Strip. It features 28 enclosed, air-conditioned transparent pads providing panoramic views of the Strip as well as Las Vegas’s valley and mountains.
Currently the world’s tallest observation wheel — higher than the London Eye (107 feet taller) and Singapore Flyer — the wheel takes 30 minutes to complete one full revolution.
Each pod is 300 square feet featuring floor-to-ceiling glass. Plus, each cabin features eight monitor screens showing video and music shows coordinated with different views and touchpoints, including the highest point during the ride.
The wheel is lit with more than 2,000 LED lights that create a visual display with changing colors and patterns as the wheel rotates .
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available for purchase before boarding your pod.
The High Roller is located at the LINQ Promenade — an outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment district — across from Caesars Palace. Daytime rides start at $23 for adults and $37 for adults for the night rides. Children 12 and under ride free.
The High roller offers rides from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. While any time is a great time to catch the amazing sights above Las Vegas, experts recommend booking a ride around sunset or nighttime for the most beautiful views of the sky and the Las Vegas lights.
Need an additional thrill? Buy a ticket for the High Roller’s Happy Half Hour cabin which includes an open bar inside the cabin. Cabins and the wheel can also be bought for private parties or corporate events. Bars and bartenders are available for private parties.
