FAE Unveils RPL/SSL-45 Asphalt Shredder for RCU75 Tracked Carrier

FAE has introduced a new combination of an asphalt shredder and RCU tracked carrier for construction projects. With an installation kit, the RCU75 can be equipped with an RPL/SSL-45 asphalt shredder. The addition of this attachment allows FAE to offer customers a range of solutions, capable of addressing specific needs across industries.

The RPL/SSL-45 is compatible with the RCU75, can mill up to 7 in. deep and has a working width of 17 in. The combination of self-leveling skids and tilt generates results on even and uneven surfaces. The hydraulic drive system supports precision, making it possible to work right up against a wall on the right or left side, as well as practical depth and cutting indicators. The water system with integrated tank allows for the elimination of dust from machining operations and contributes to cooling the teeth. The teeth are designed for use on asphalt and concrete road surfaces.

FAE’s road planers are based on “cold planer” technology. With cold planer technology, the road's surface is scraped and cut by the impact of teeth attached to the rotor. The RPL/SSL-45 has a tooth layout that reduces vibration, supporting the preparation of roads for resurfacing or excavation operations.
