Hilltip has expanded its AM series combination spreaders with new extended auger models, designed for today’s interchangeable truck bed systems. The extended auger positions the hopper closer to the truck bulkhead, improving weight distribution.
The AM series spreaders range from 2.0 to 4.2 cubic yards and feature six-inch stainless-steel augers powered by 12- or 24-volt dual motors. Hoppers include a vibrator and inverted-V design to optimize material flow.
For versatility, integral liquid tanks hold 220 to 250 gallons, and optional pre-wetting nozzles, dual spray bars, and hose reels allow for anti-icing, de-icing and pre-wetting applications. The extended auger is also offered as a retrofit kit for older spreader models.
All AM series machines include Hilltip’s tracking and precision technologies, such as the StrikeSmart PLUS controller with TempStriker sensor, which monitors temperature, humidity, and surface conditions, and the HTrack software for real-time remote equipment monitoring via two-way GPRS.
