Briggs & Stratton’s Vanguard and Bartell Global have expanded their collaboration to bring additional battery-powered equipment to the construction market.

Bartell Global has introduced three new machines powered by Vanguard’s 48V Si1.5 commercial swappable battery pack: the B424 Edger Trowel, BC436 Power Trowel and BCF1570 Forward Plate Compactor.

The interchangeable battery system allows contractors to use a single power source across multiple machines, helping reduce downtime and simplify equipment management. The battery-powered units also offer reduced noise and zero emissions at the point of use, making them suitable for indoor jobsites and other noise-sensitive environments.

According to the companies, the battery pack can reach an 80% charge in approximately 50 minutes, allowing crews to recharge equipment during breaks or between tasks.

Bartell Global said the shared battery platform supports its efforts to expand battery-powered options across its concrete finishing, compaction and surface preparation equipment lines, while Vanguard continues to grow adoption of its swappable battery technology in commercial construction equipment.
