Wacker Neuson's Medium-Weight Reversible Plates

Powered by a Honda gas-powered BPU5260 and BPU6275 and Hatz diesel-powered DPU5260 and DPU6275, these newly redesigned plates feature 30 percent more gradeability, 20 percent greater forward travel speed, an open baseplate design, and lower Hand Arm Vibration (HAV, when compared to previous models). 

Wacker Neuson’s next generation gas and diesel medium-weight reversible plates deliver consistent performance and improved gradeability in the 600 - 1,125 lb. operating class. What’s more, these models have the smarts to prove it. The integrated Bluetooth technology provides real-time insights into machine data, helping rental dealers and operators optimize operation, monitor usage, and stay one step ahead on maintenance.

These new 600-1,125 lb. (300-510 kg) models have been specially developed for the requirements of trench and surface compaction and deliver efficient and precise compaction of different soil types and structures.

For increased productivity, the new BPU/DPU models feature a modern and ergonomic user interface that makes work easier, including a center pole (handle) that adjusts in height to easily accommodate operators of different size. The low hand-arm vibration values (< 2.5 m/s²) ensure a more comfortable work experience and help to increase machine utilization and employee productivity.

The direction of travel is controlled hydraulically and is completely maintenance-free. The innovative open base plate design promotes easy cleaning of all components. In addition, operators can change direction by simply turning the handle, allowing them to work with both hands at all times, without having to manage additional buttons or cranks. The forward and reverse speeds are infinitely variable.

The basic DPU 5260 and DPU6275 machines are offered with many standard features, including on-board diagnostics through LED display, compatibility with Wacker Neuson diagnostics 2.0 (service tool), an control panel showing machine function start and stop by push button-electric start with key-on, and an hour meter. Options include Wacker Neuson Compatec compaction meter, Compamatic site manager and a nylon paver pad for paver protection and plate dampening.
