Liugong Buys Into Off-Road Truck Business

Acquiring 42% of Chinese truck maker will add trucks to equipment line

Liugong Machinery Corp. acquired 42% of mining truck manufacturer Beijing Capital Steel Heavy Duty Truck Co. Ltd. in a deal that will allow Liugong to add construction and mining trucks to its product portfolio.

LiuGong is a Chinese company with 12 product lines: loaders, excavators, rollers, graders, dozers, backhoe loader s, skid steers, mini excavators, forklifts, pavers andtruck-mounted cranes. The company's North American subsidiary is currently conducting a major growth initiative here (see Related Content).
