With the updated Cat 993K wheel loader, lowered rated speed, Auto Idle Kickdown and Engine Idle Shutdown reduce fuel consumption as much as 10% from the previous model. In-cab sound levels have also been reduced from 72 to 70 dB(A) due to new cab mounts that reduce vibration.
