
Caterpillar Industrial Power Systems highlighted several new engines and power solutions during CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026.
The showcase included the debut of a higher-horsepower version of the Cat C3.6 engine, delivering up to 173 horsepower, along with the new C13D engine platform designed for heavy-duty off-highway equipment. Both engines are designed to meet EU Stage V and U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final emissions standards.

The C3.6 engine is designed for equipment such as wheel excavators, compactors, backhoe loaders and asphalt pavers. The engine platform includes ratings from 74 hp to 173 hp and is compatible with biodiesel and renewable fuels such as hydrotreated vegetable oil.
Caterpillar also highlighted the C13D six-cylinder engine, which will offer power ratings from 456 hp to 690 hp and is intended for applications including crushers, agricultural equipment and material-handling machines.
