LOS ANGELES, CA - DiggersList announces it has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles and Habitat for Humanity Orange County to build online storefronts for their Habitat for Humanity home improvement stores. This strategic partnership will help the organizations sell both new and gently used remodel and home improvement materials. There are more than 600 Habitat for Humanity home improvement stores across North America.
"All the profits from our Home Improvement Store are used to build safe, affordable, energy efficient houses for low-income families and the revitalization of neighborhoods," explained Erin Rank, President/CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles. "The widget and our profile and listings on the DiggersList.com site help us achieve that goal, giving us the opportunity to spread the word and raise funds."
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles and Habitat for Humanity Orange County have embedded the DiggersList widget on their websites to help them sell building materials and supplies for sale at their home improvement stores, all of which have been donated. A wide range of inventory is being posted by the stores on DiggersList.com including curtain rods, slate tile, table saws, paint, lighting, doors, windows, appliances, furniture, sinks, toilets, cleaning supplies and more. The widget syndicates these postings to the Habitat store web pages and showcases the latest items the organization has put up for sale.
"We opened our two Habitat ReStores because we wanted to give our community access to affordable home improvement and building materials and enable more people to repair and remodel their homes and businesses," said Sharon Ellis, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. "In addition, with DiggersList's help, we are keeping materials out of landfills and recycling them for a second life."
"The DiggersList widget gives non-profits the ability to host their own online storefront for free, without having to get into any tedious site development," said Johnnie Munger, CTO and Co-Founder of DiggersList. "Potential customers are able to easily review complete details and photos for the listings and can contact the poster through our site's email system."

About Habitat for Humanity of Orange County
Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, headquartered in Santa Ana, CA, is dedicated to ending substandard housing and building strong communities in Orange County. Habitat uses non-government donations of funding, materials, professional services and volunteer labor to build simple, decent homes which are sold to qualified low-income families for a 1% down payment, closing costs, and a long-term mortgage. Mortgage payments are recycled to build more Habitat homes. Habitat families contribute 500 hours of "sweat equity" to the program by building their own home, helping another Habitat family build a home, or working in some other area of the Habitat organization. Habitat for Humanity families and volunteers have built 135 homes in Orange County since 1988, and are currently building five homes in San Juan Capistrano, two homes in Fullerton and two homes in Westminster.
