Cemstone Expands and Upgrades Henderson Aggregate Facility

New underwater dredge extracts sand and gravel from bottom of lake.

MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN - Cemstone, an Upper Midwest leader in high performance concrete, engineering services, aggregates, decorative concrete and masonry products, has expanded and upgraded its facility located in Henderson, Minn. The facility produces recycled concrete, virgin Class 5 aggregates, and washed sand and gravel to support Cemstone ready-mixed concrete and other building projects throughout Minnesota.

"Our upgrades and expansion at the Henderson site represent a new and sizeable investment in our operational infrastructure, and, with it, we are poised to provide our customers with unmatched quality aggregates and recycled concrete," said Tim Becken, Cemstone senior vice president of operations. "In particular, aggregates are an extremely important ingredient for a wide range of construction and building projects. With our new equipment and expanded capabilities, we have what it takes to ensure an ample and steady supply to meet our customer needs."

The new equipment includes a crushing plant and washing system that provide uniform size and enhanced quality aggregate. The Henderson facility also features an underwater dredge that extracts sand and gravel from a lake bottom in excess of 140 feet deep.

"This facility produces aggregate materials that are easily and cost-effectively transported to where they're needed," added Becken. "Cemstone's standard for all projects is consistent size and quality that meet or exceed industry requirements."
