Volvo Trucks North America has unveiled the VNX, a vocational and heavy-haul truck designed for construction, concrete, logging, agriculture and municipal applications.

Sales are scheduled to begin Oct. 26, 2026. The VNX completes Volvo's North American truck lineup renewal following the VNL in 2024 and VNR in 2025.

The truck features a D13 engine rated at up to 540 horsepower and 1,950 pound-feet of torque, with an engine brake delivering up to 630 braking horsepower. Its frame uses heat-treated steel, and the cab incorporates additional ultra-high-strength steel and standard driver-side curtain airbags.

Safety features include standard forward pedestrian detection and optional blind spot detection on both sides. Volvo Dynamic Steering is designed to reduce driver strain, while Remote Steer allows operators to maneuver the truck from outside the cab at speeds up to 5 mph.

The VNX also includes a factory-installed 4G telematics gateway, remote diagnostics and over-the-air software updates. Fleet managers can use Volvo Connect to access data on fuel efficiency, vehicle location and safety.

The engine meets EPA 2027 emissions standards in all 50 states, according to Volvo.
