Mack Trucks
Mack Trucks introduced Lock & Leave, a new feature for its over-the-air (OTA) software update system that allows eligible updates to complete after drivers park, lock the truck and leave.
Once a driver initiates an update through the truck's display, the vehicle remains powered on long enough to install the software before shutting down automatically. The feature is also intended to simplify updates for fleet maintenance technicians by allowing multiple vehicles to be updated without revisiting each truck.
According to Mack, the feature is expected to become available this fall following final validation. It will launch first on the Mack Pioneer, Mack Anthem, the new Mack Granite and Mack Keystone models.
