Alamo Group acquires Gradall

Alamo Group Inc. has acquired Gradall and its line of excavators from JLG Industries for $39.4 million, according to Ron Robinson, Alamo Group president and CEO.

Gradall equipment is manufactured in New Philadelphia, OH, and Robinson said that the facility will continue its Gradall excavator manufacturing operations and that most of the 400-person workforce will be retained.

Alamo Group becomes the ninth owner of Gradall, which Robinson said is an ideal fit for Alamo's Industrial Division, which manufactures Schwarze sweepers, the Roadpatcher, mowing equipment, and snow removal equipment.
