Southeastern Equipment Company hired Justin Whiting as sales representative at the Monroe, Ohio location. Whiting is selling the full line of equipment throughout Hamilton, Highland, Greene, and Clinton counties.
For four years, Whiting was an outside sales representative with a lumber business located in Ohio and Michigan. Most recently, he was the rental coordinator at a Caterpillar dealership in Richmond, Ind.
Whiting earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Cincinnati. In his spare time he enjoys attending baseball games and live music festivals in addition to white water rafting. He currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio with his family, including his three daughters.
Joel Merchant has joined the company as outside sales representative with the Holt, Mich. location. Joel is selling the full line of products throughout southern Michigan, in Lenawee, Hillsdale, Calhoun, Jackson, Eaton, Clinton and Branch counties.
Merchant earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Albion College in Albion, Mich. During the past three years, he was a field salesman for Bonnie Plants where he also gained experience in marketing and displays. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
Two new hires at the Cambridge, Ohio, location include Travis Burris as the new parts manager and Jeff Campbell as the new operations manager.
Burris is responsible for parts inventory and sales. Burris is an alumnus of Buckeye Trail High School. He obtained his associate’s degree of applied science from ATI in Wooster, then earned his bachelor’s degree in agriculture with a specialization in agricultural and construction systems management from The Ohio State University. For two years he worked in construction before joining the Autozone Distribution Center in Zanesville, Ohio, where he was operations assistant in the recalls section of the parts department for ten years. In his spare time he serves as a Boy Scout leader and enjoys rough trucking at local county fairs. He currently resides in Cambridge, Ohio.
Campbell is managing the parts, sales, and service departments for the branch as well as coordinating the trucking. Campbell is an alumnus of Meadowbrook High School in Byesville, Ohio. For two years he was involved in road and bridge construction with Shaw and Holter, Inc., a general
contractor in Lancaster, Ohio. Most recently, he served as the inventory and territory sales manager with Modern Builders Supply Inc., an Ohio based building materials distributor, for four years. In his spare time he enjoys working on projects around his home and spending time with his family. He currently resides with his wife Sarah and two children near Cumberland, Ohio.
