The president of Fluor Corp.'s Global Services Business Group, Kirk Grimes, will become group executive for Operations. He will oversee the company’s Construction, Procurement, Project Risk Management and Sustainability functions, as well as Project Execution Services, Project Excellence Network and Strategic Planning. Additionally, Grimes has been asked by Fluor CEO David Seaton to lead a business transformation process across all five Fluor business groups. Grimes has been president of Fluor's Global Services since 2003.
Garry W. Flowers has been named group president for Global Services which includes Fluor’s operations and maintenance business, TRS temporary staffing and AMECO equipment rental business. Flowers previously served as senior vice president for Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE); Corporate Security; and Industrial Relations. Along with Flowers’ new Global Services responsibilities, he will retain oversight of the company’s HSE, Security and Industrial Relations functions. From September 2009 to October 2011, Flowers served as the president and CEO of Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC, the Fluor-led partnership that oversees management, cleanup and operations at the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site.
All changes will be effective January 1, 2012, and both Flowers and Grimes will report to David Seaton in their respective roles.
In making the change announcement, Seaton said, “This is a pivotal time in our industry, when many dynamic forces are impacting our global business. We must explore new ways to grow our business, build our relationships and optimize our costs. These moves will help us accomplish those goals.”
