Honda Power Sports & Products has announced that its EU3200i and EU7000iS Super Quiet Series generators are now available for sale in California. Both models meet the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Phase 3 emissions standards and are compliant with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Tier 4 requirements.
These updates make the gas-powered models eligible for use in California, where emissions regulations are among the most stringent in the country. To comply, Honda has made several design changes to the generators, including the addition of an evaporative emission control system, an updated fuel cap tether and improved canister working capacity. These features help reduce air pollutants such as nitrogen oxides, particulate matter, hydrocarbons and sulfur.
Generator Features and Applications
Both the EU3200i and EU7000iS are part of Honda’s Super Quiet Series, known for their enclosed-body construction and inverter technology, which reduces operational noise and improves fuel efficiency. They are suited for various applications including residential backup power, commercial work, recreational vehicle use and outdoor events.
Integrated Safety and Monitoring Systems
Both models include the Honda CO-MINDER® system, which monitors carbon monoxide levels near the generator and automatically shuts the unit down before dangerous levels are reached.
They also support the Honda My Generator Bluetooth® App, allowing users to monitor and control the generator remotely via a smartphone. The app provides data on output power, engine hours, oil life, fuel level, estimated run time and maintenance reminders within a 75-foot range.
