In-Place Recycling Seminars Designed to Promote Pavement Preservation

I don't always work on asphalt plants. This is my mechanic/welder Richard helping me get strapped into the seat of our 1991 Ford Thunderbird we built in our shops. This car has a 1,400-hp Ford motor and runs 7.7 seconds @ 185 mph in the 1/4 mile. We use this and other race cars we build to demonstrate the welding skills, electrical and mechanical skills we possess here at CMC. If we can build this kind of 'high quality and dangerous' equipment, asphalt plants are easy! We also take our clients to races with us and have them help on the cars for the weekend.

Gravity-Fed Asphalt Paver is Effective on Highway Jobs
Feeding Roadtec's 32,000-lb SP-100e Stealth Paver with a material transfer vehicle, with gravity flow to the auger, should deliver high-production paving and cut operating costs
June 14, 2016
The SP-100e accepts the hot-mix asphalt (HMA) at the top of the machine, where gravity feeds the material through flow gates directly to the auger from the cone-shaped mass flow hopper.
