Were you at National Pavement Expo 2015 in Nashville? For those that were in attendance, you know that it was a fabulous training event. During NPE and more specifically on Friday, January 30^th, NAPSA held our annual membership meeting.

The meeting was facilitated by our new NAPSA President, Sylvia Richards of Asphalt Enterprises in Raleigh, NC. Sylvia is truly passionate about NAPSA and is actively working to accomplish goals on behalf of our membership. It is her belief that if you participate in NAPSA, you will find your "NAPSA Nugget." A NAPSA Nugget is that piece of information that you find to be invaluable. It could be as simple as a single marketing idea or as numerous as everything exchanged in the "Best Practices" workshop, but each NAPSA Nugget that you reach out and take, works together to create NAPSA GOLD!

NAPSA’s benefits continue to grow each year. Our newest benefit is the NAPSA Classifieds and our list of membership benefits continue to grow. We focus on items of value to our power sweepers such as our safety poster series and educational webinars.

NAPSA’s goals are creating and maintaining value. A major service that we have been working on for the past year is our new Certified Sweeper Operator (CSO) program. We are very excited about this program and are currently gathering content to further develop the units that your operators will participate in, in order to accomplish the certification. The benefit to you as a contractor will be enhanced professionalism, solid training and financial gain through better insurance rates among other things. Keep your eyes open for information as it is shared but we anticipate our first track to be available beginning 2016.
