Lift and Access magazine announced the winners of the 13th annual Leadership in Lifting Equipment and Aerial Plaftorms (LLEAP) Awards, which recognize the lifting and access equipment industry's most innovative new products.
The awards honored 10 products in five categories, which included aerial lifts, material handlers, cranes, OEM features/essential components, and aftermarket support products & services.
In order to be considered in the 2018 competition, the entry needed to be a new product, major product improvement or accessory that must have been available in North America and introduced or delivered to the market between June 1, 2017, and May 31, 2018.
An expert panel of judges evaluated the entries and rated the products based on innovative features and technology, perceived value, productivity, and overall benefit to the industry, with 40 as the highest total score possible.
The 2018 judges included: Michael Crouch, president of RMC Consults; Tony Foster, equipment purchaser at Cianbro Equipment; Tom Hammerslag, owner of Great Lakes Access; Mike Larson, editor of Crane Hot Line; Richard Marcotte, instructor at Industrial Training International (ITI); Alastair Robertson, president of Universal Equipment; Karen M. Scally, editor of Lift and Access; Jeff Stachowiak, national director of safety training at Sunbelt Rentals; and Lance Sullivan, fleet product technical adviser at Sunstate Equipment Co. LLC.
The two top-ranked products in each of the five LLEAP categories are:
Aerial Lifts

· Silver: Haulotte HA61 LE PRO
Material Handlers
· Gold (tie): Magni RTH 8.25SH
· Gold (tie): Manitou MRT 2470 Rotating Telehandler
Cranes
· Gold: Jekko SPK60 telescoping crawler crane
· Silver: Terex Demag AC 45 City
OEM Features or Essential Components
· Gold: GMG I-Power
· Silver: Skyjack Elevate
Aftermarket Support Products & Services
· Gold: Tech Safety Lines SRK-11, Self-Rescue Kit
· Silver: Serious Labs Ryze SBL VR Simulator
