MEC Aerial Work Platforms has announced the latest addition to its growing vertical mast line up with the introduction of the MME30-RJ. The MME30-RJ joins the MME Series (MME20 and MME25) along with the company's first all-electric machine, the MMAE16. The MME30-RJ features AC Direct Electric Drive and extended duty cycles.

The mast has a working indoor height of 36 ft. and weight of 6,600 lbs. For reaching difficult areas, the MME30-RJ features 345 degrees of turntable rotation, a 5-ft. jib and an in-line telescopic all steel mast.

Standard AGM batteries coupled with AC Direct Electric Drive provide long run times between charges, no hydraulic motors and smooth controls for operation in tight areas. The MME30-RJ’s rugged platform and components are designed for durability.

“When we inquired about the single most detrimental aspect of this type of machine to TCO, we heard loud and clear that it was wet lead acid type batteries and the difficulty to maintain them. We eliminated this problem by using AGM type batteries that are maintenance free and hence a solid predictor to a lower TCO” said Gary Crook, VP of engineering.

Along with a 40-in. x 30-in. platform area, the MME30-RJ comes with fully proportional drive and lift controls and up to 25% gradeability for performance and operator safety.
